Welcome to our website!

You're probably wondering---

Just whointheheck are these people?

We're a couple of "Old School" truckers. We each have logged over 2 million miles. Combined we have over 65 years of trucking experience.
We're not older than dirt, but we did start out several years before there was such a thing as a CDL.
We, and most of our contemporaries didn't go to school to learn to drive a truck. We were taught by other drivers, usually a relative or friend. After that training, we learned the rest in "the school of hard knocks."
We are still learning today. Click here to read our bios.

America Moves by Truck!

We've "been there" and "hauled that.
If you've ever bought it, chances are that at some time or other, we have hauled it.
Most folks do not routinely think about how the goods they buy at the store get to the store.
We think about it every day, all day, to us it's freight. We're truck drivers. It's our job to deliver freight. We have a 98% on-time delivery rating. And deliver we do, everything but babies!
(We would deliver them too, but we don't want to get in trouble with The Storks Union.)
Freight gets relocated several times, in its journey from raw materials, wherever they are found, to consumer products in your local stores. Something like 89% of that relocation is done by trucks. (truck drivers)
In addition to all that, we are parents, grandparents, and great grandparents.
Check out this page, for further details.

We have seen most of the USA and we can't decide which part of this big beautiful country we like best. All of it is awesome! Feel free to look at our Photo Gallery
We have More Photos! on these pages.

The Kids

As we mentioned earlier, we have children, grandchilren, and great-grandchildren.
Our children mostly turned out OK. For this we are thankful to God. Surely He kept them out of trouble, while we were busy trying to make a living..
Our oldest daughter has taken leave from her work in the medical field, to go to North Dakota. She will spend the next year caring for her two grandchildren while their mother goes to Kosovo with her National Guard unit. <---put National Guard link here--->
Our middle Daughter in addition to holding down a "regular" job, is a freelance bookkeeper and tax preparer, specializing in small business solutions. If you operate a small business and need help keeping your paperwork in order, she's your girl. She will do it right, at a reasonable price.
Our youngest daughter is an Owner Operator, along with her spouse. They pull flatbeds hauling steel. The steel that the wheels of your automobile are made of, might well have been on their truck at some time.
Our two boys live at our house. They take care of the place, doing all the things that we would do if we were there. They also help out with the household bills.
Our sons are a handy fellows to have around. They can and do, do just about any kind of work. They can fix your car, repair household appliances, cut your grass, trim your trees, and build you a house. They can build furniture to put in your house or on your porch, and build a gazebo for your back yard.
Our youngest son is also quite active in Our Church.

Of our 6 grandchildren, Three are still in school, and three are in the military. Two National Guard, and one Navy. Two of them are responsible for making us great-grandparents, presenting us with two adorable girls and a handsome little boy. We will upload pictures soon.

Our World

Our world is as small as the cab of our truck, and as big as the whole United States of America. Every turn in the road brings a new view out our windows. Every time we step outside, we have a new dooryard. Folks with a normal job only get to do that on vacation or after they retire. We actually get paid to do that.

In our world, something as commonplace as taking a shower can turn into an adventure.
An encounter with a not-so-Great Pumpkin a few years ago got both of us quite upset.
One of these days we will get more adventures written up and posted.

This website is a work in progress.

This is as far as we have progressed for now. We will soon be putting up more pictures and pages, as we have time and a connection to do so.
Check out our links bar for the rest of our site and some other sites we like. Keep checking back for updates. Jasper & Gertie
